About the Scholar
Ideas only matter if you can make someone else understand them. That's been my obsession across philosophy, psychology, sociology, and education, and it's what drives every paper I write.
I hold a PhD in Philosophy from Columbia University, with an MA in Psychology from NYU and a BA in Sociology from Duke. My doctoral research sat at the intersection of moral philosophy and cognitive psychology, specifically how people construct ethical frameworks under conditions of uncertainty, which gave me the ability to move fluidly between disciplines that most writers treat as separate. Philosophy, psychology, sociology, and education don't just overlap in my work. They inform each other.
Before focusing on academic writing full time I spent six years as a university lecturer teaching ethics, social theory, and educational philosophy at the undergraduate and graduate level. That time in the classroom gave me an unusually precise understanding of what rigorous academic argument looks like from the instructor's side of the desk, what earns marks, what loses them, and why.
I work across every format these disciplines demand: argumentative essays, literature reviews, theoretical frameworks, case analyses, research proposals, and dissertations. The complexity of the subject has never been the obstacle. Making that complexity legible and compelling is what I do.
